T10T: Bookish Boyfriends/Girlfriends

This is a weekly tag hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and this week’s challenge is to pick ten book boyfriends or girlfriends!

Since I’m bisexual, I decided to include bookish boyfriends AND girlfriends! I originally was going to pick my top 5 girlfriends and top 5 boyfriends, but then I realized: 1) that’s a little gender binary-focused, eh?, and 2) I really want to pick 10 characters I can show you guys some awesome fanart or film casting of!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any fanart for the last few that I liked, soooo… you just get character names.

1. Rhysand (ACOTAR series)

2. Cassian (ACOTAR series)

3. Richard “Dick” Gansey, III (The Raven Cycle)

Art by cherryandsisters!

4. Peeta Mellark (The Hunger Games trilogy)

Nobody could be a better Peeta than Josh, I am thoroughly convinced of this.

5. Lucien Vanserra (ACOTAR series)

Art by Merwild!

6. Crescent Moon (The Lunar Chronicles)

See #7 for art!

7. Thorne Carswell (The Lunar Chronicles)

Art by taratjah!

8. Kell (Shades of Magic series)

My favorite art of Kell is actually from the French book cover, by Charlie Bowater!

9. Niklas Malikov (The Illuminae Files)

10. Kady Grant (The Illuminae Files)

I know, I know – too many of mine are from the ACOTAR series. SO SUE ME!

  1. Kady Grant is so girlfriend material, no questions about that!
And you are also right in the fact that Josh is the best Peeta ever. I will fight someone about that.
    Love the post!

    1. The funny thing is, everyone tells me I remind them of her (or vice versa) because we’re both short, sarcastic, snarky as hell, computer geeks, and pink-haired, bahaha. But she’s totally my #1 book girlfriend, not gonna lie.

And YES, thank you! Every time someone complains about the adaptations I’m like, “yeah and I hear you – I DO, REALLY – but have you SEEN Josh Hutcherson playing Peeta?!”

      Thank you ❤❤

      1. I can totally see it! lol. I will also fight anyway that says Finn wasn’t cast well either because he so was!

  2. Ah all this art makes me fall in love with these characters all over again! We definitely have a lot of crushes in common, I also adore Rhysand, Peeta, Gansey, Kell, Thorne, Cress and Kady 🙂

  3. I just finished my reread of The Raven Boys, so I am currently fawning over Adam–although he does get super scary at the end. I’m kind of scared to continue the series, I have no idea what happens to any of the characters!

    1. Aw, Adam is such a precious, creepy little guy, haha! To be totally honest, though, he’s my least favorite of the four, which totally doesn’t mean I don’t love him – because honestly I love all of them SO MUCH! – but Gansey is just incredible, and Ronan cracks me up constantly, and then little Noah… I just wanna hug him. 😥

      1. Awww, I think the others will grow on me more than they already have. He’s probably my favorite because I feel like the focus is on him so strongly at the beginning of the first book. And he’s got the sad lost puppy thing going on, which I kinda dig, haha.

      2. Oh yes, the focus definitely is on him more in book 1! Book 2 is aaaaall about Ronan, and it made me fall in love with his character even more than I already was. I can’t wait to hear how you’re feeling as you continue the series! 🙂 I’m starting book 3 in a week or two.

    1. They’re so… hmn. Haha! I love them. Rhysand is just so swoonworthy and then Cassian just has my heart. He’s so sweet and loving and I just cherished every single precious little exchange where he was being protective of his little family. ❤ Thank you!

  4. Yes to Gansey. I have such a soft spot for that boy. Though, to be honest, I’d probably be close to slapping him upside the head if I ever met him in real life. Cress and Thorne are so adorable and I can’t even say who I would consider more adorable.
