March ’18 Wrap

March 31, 2018

I had really big plans for March, but then Obsidio happened, and it gave me the worst book hangover I’ve had in ages, which in turn caused a slump so bad that I literally didn’t touch a book for almost a week (which is unheard of for me, as I make it a goal to read at least 30-60 minutes per day, everyday).

That said, I came back out of my slump in the last week of the month and I’m proud of how many books I managed to knock off of my backlist TBR!

    1. Oh wow, lots of 5 star reads. That’s awesome. I’m reading Blood Water Paint right now and loving it. I also really want to re-read Illiuminae and Gemina before reading Obsidio.

      1. Right?! I can’t believe how many I 5-starred in March! I’m so glad you’re loving BWP. It meant the world to me, truly. I hope you get to check out Obsidio soon, too, because it’s an amazing finale!

    1. So many five star rating! Great to hear you had a good reading month ??.
I really hope you’ll like Strange the Dreamer, it’s one of my all time favourite books. ?
      Great books!

      1. Thank you, Lena! I honestly feel so lucky to have loved so many books in March! I’m savoring Strange and going slow, but I am LOVING it so far. Lazlo is such a precious little thing and I just want to protect him! ?

    1. I’m glad to see you read so many five star books! I’d love to see your thoughts on the Raven King – I still have yet to read it! Is this your first time reading Six of Crows? I absolutely loved that one! ❤️

      1. I should really get a review up for The Raven King soon! It always takes me forever to review the TRC books because I love them so much and they just mean so much to me. <3 And yes, it is my first time reading SOC! I'm halfway through as of tonight and ADORE every single page of it so far. <3

    1. So many books, I would love to have time to read that much? Sounds like it was a pretty decent month! I’m looking forward to your review of Nevernight?

      1. Thank you, Tammy! 🙂 I have no life outside of reading and my kiddo haha, so I make sure to read every chance I get when he naps or is playing with his grandparents! I didn’t feel like I read as much in March as it turned out I did, though!

    1. Oh wow you had so many 5 star books. That is great. I will be curious to read your review of Nevernight since there was so much upheavel after that book was published that I have been scared to touch it.

      1. Right? I’m shook haha! Oooh, I think I managed to miss the drama on that one, thankfully. I really adored it but I’ve had a hard time getting my feelings into words for it, so far. I think I’m gonna try to review it soon, though. 🙂

    1. i am genuinely furious at you for being in a slump this month and yet somehow reading that many books. and giving that many five star ratings. i had a slumpy month and i read like four meh books.

    1. Oh dear lord; Furyborn two stars? That’s.. promising.. I have yet to read my ARC [which I totally forgot about until earlier today, oops.] and this is NOT the motivation I need right now.. xD
