WWW #4: December 19, 2018

December 19, 2018

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

My goal for this week was to finish all of last week’s reads, and I almost succeeded!

  1. NOS4A2 — 48%
  2. Illuminae (reread) — 33%
  3. Unwind — 15%
  4. The Girl King — 6%
  5. Savage Species — 13%

Since Shortathon starts Friday, my goal is to finish ALL of these by then! Not sure how much success I’ll have, but even if I can knock out all but one of these by Shortathon’s beginning, I’ll be very happy.

Over the past week, I finished

  1. Snow in Love ⭐⭐⭐ (review)
  2. A Holiday by Gaslight ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  3. Kin ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  4. Song of the Dead ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  5. Dear Aaron ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  6. In An Absent Dream ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As you can see, it was a pretty amazing reading week for me!

With Short-a-thon starting Friday, I’m not planning to start any new reads until then. Once that starts, I do have my “must reads” list of 1 novella per day, plus a TBR jar full of slips for novellas, short stories, graphic novels, and manga.
Since I don’t know exactly what I’ll be reading in what order, I’m just going to list the things I hope to pull from the TBR jar first:

  1. The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant
  2. Pet
  3. The Visible Filth
  4. Bingo Love
  5. Unnatural, Vol. 1
  6. The Midwinter Mail-Order Bride
  7. Tomie
  8. My Boyfriend is a Bear
  9. Giant Days, Vol. 1
  10. Fence, Vol. 1

Have you read any of the titles I mentioned in this post, or are any on your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
