WWW #5: December 26, 2018

December 26, 2018

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

My goal this week was to knock out all of my pre-Shortathon reads, which sadly, didn’t quite happen: I’m still working on two of them.

  1. Unwind — 15%
  2. Savage Species — 49%

Unwind is one of my “unhaul challenge” books for December, which means if I don’t finish it by the end of the month, I have to DNF and unhaul it! Part of me thinks I’d better get to work, while the other part of me isn’t feeling too pressed to continue this book, much less the series. Thoughts?

  5. Unfollowing You ⭐
  6. Waves ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  7. Bone Parish, Vol. 1 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  8. We Should All Be Feminists ⭐⭐⭐

  11. Sour Candy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As you can see, it was an AMAZING reading week for me! Way to go, Shortathon!

Shortathon doesn’t end until Monday night, so the majority of my next week will be dedicated to more short reads. I’ll keep using my TBR jar for the majority of them, but this is what’s left on my “must read” list for Shortathon:

  1. Lost Sisters
  2. Your Favorite Band Cannot Save You
  3. Love Looks Pretty On You
  4. The Adventures of Charls, the Veretian Cloth Merchant
  5. Damaged Goods
  6. Almost Midnight

Have you read any of the titles I mentioned in this post, or are any on your TBR? Let me know in the comments!

remember when i said i knew i’d be screaming over your december reading? well here we are.

      1. This is my first Shusterman book, and I ended up just DNFing it a few minutes ago when I realized I would rather unhaul it than continue it right now. It’s not bad writing, I think I just don’t care very much about the plot anymore, lol. But I’m very interested in his newest series and Dry!

    1. I’m commenting on this post inappropriately late, but HAVE YOU FINISHED UNWIND YET? I’d love to hear your thoughts on it! ?

        1. Ah! My heart weeps!! I totally understand though. When one of my brothers read it, he couldn’t finish it either. It’s definitely a bit slow!! I hope you decide to check out some of Shusterman’s other works in the future (if you haven’t already!). ?

Say hello! ♥
