    • Whitley’s hosting a super badass horror readathon for 2 weeks in February and y’all already know I’m there, right?

  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets — J. K. Rowling (REREAD)
    • Another HP reread! I loved returning to Hogwarts last month. ♥
  • ? Elantris — Brandon Sanderson
    • I’m finally going to dive into the world of Cosmere!
  • Rhapsodic — Laura Thalassa
  • ?‍♂️ King of Scars — Leigh Bardugo
    • I mean… obviously.
  • ? Horrorstör — Grady Hendrix
    • I’ve been meaning to read this for ages and Whitley is one of the people responsible for me checking out Grady’s work to begin with, so it feels fitting to put this on my TBR for her readathon!
  • ? The Black Farm — Elias Witherow
    • I heard this one’s pretty gruesome, so it feels fitting!

UNHAUL Challenge TBR

New plan, because I failed in January haha. Instead of having you suggest books for the current month, you’ll have all month long to choose for the NEXT month! So your suggestions on this post’s comments will be in the running for March.
If you could please pop over to my owned-TBR goodreads shelf HERE and suggest a title for me to read next month, I’ll pick one winner, and I’ll have to either read it by March 31st or UNHAUL it!

I looked at your suggestions on my January TBR, and my February unhaul challenge book will be…

35172730

  • Sailor Moon: Eternal Edition #1 — Naoko Takeuchi
    • thank you to Harker for the suggestion!

OPTIONAL TBR

I know I said last month that I might do away with this section, but I thought instead that this could be a fun way to showcase my unread ARCs for the coming month (without pressuring myself by officially putting them on my TBR).

Monthly Goals

  1. Getting back on track with my ARC releases! January was the first month in a long time where so many ARCs’ release dates passed me by without my having read and reviewed them, and it made me sad, so I want to keep a better eye on my release dates this month.
  2. More audiobook reading and less mindlessly listening to old Demon Hunter albums on repeat every time I hop in the car.
  3. More reviews — even if they’re mini reviews, I just need to post more of them and stop letting my ‘RTC’ shelf get so big!

    1. This month I’m going to vote for If I Was Your Girl because I finished it recently and it was a PRECIOUS contemporary YA and is a super quick read! 🙂 I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on Binti, since I’m trying to decide if I want to read it.

      1. Ooooh, excellent suggestion. 😀 I’ve been meaning to read that forever, especially since the author is from Chattanooga originally! (Not sure if she still lives in this area.) Binti is… sigh. I’m struggling through the second novella right now. The first one was AMAZING and I flew through it but I’m not enjoying the second one as much, and it’s making me sad, because I remember when the 2nd and 3rd novellas came out, lots of people were saying they didn’t like them as much as the first one. :/ So, fingers crossed I won’t be joining that crowd haha.

    1. I’d be interested in how you like ‘Tell Me How You Really Feel’ so that gets my vote! Happy Reading! I’ll be starting HP2 shortly! ⚡️

      1. Thank you lovely!! Ooooh, enjoy! My spouse and I are probably watching HP1 this weekend and then both starting HP2 next week and I’m super excited. 🙂 As a kid, I remember always liking HP2 better than 1 so I’m interested to see if that’s still the case.

        1. Nice!! I remember liking HP4 the most and HP5 the least… I’m curious too what I’ll think this time since I’ve never reread them before?! I also think I’m going to have a movie marathon for a week at the end instead. ? Have fun this wkend!!

        1. It really is a huge series! I haven’t read further into it in months! I’ve been so bogged down in other books, but I really want to pick it up again. Totally worth 🙂

      1. Thank you boo, good luck to you too! And yesss to Elantris! 🙂 I’m actually reading it because you got me so pumped for Mistborn and I was looking at a chronological order list and it recommended Elantris before Mistborn, so I was like what the heck, why not haha!

        1. Ahh, I’m so glad! I’m excited to read it soon and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it, are you enjoying it so far?

    1. I’m also planning on reading King of Scars for Fantastic February! (Tho I need to pick up & read Crooked Kingdom first.) And oooh, I’m curious to see your thoughts on Rhapsodic!
And to continue with the fantasy theme, I see Angelfall on your owned-TBR shelf so I vote for that one! 🙂 Lol, I think I’ve read that book like 2-3 times (and adored it every time!), so I’m curious to hear your thoughts in it!

      1. Ooooh, I hope you love Crooked Kingdom!! I read the duology last year and adored it so much. I can’t wait for King of Scars! I didn’t pre-order it because I was supposed to go to Leigh’s signing last night, but my son got sick and I had to sell my tickets, so I ordered a copy and it’ll be here tomorrow. I’m trying to clear my reading schedule a bit for the week so I can binge it!
Thank you for voting! Angelfall is one that I feel like I need to read soon so it’s a good rec. 😀

        1. Thank you! I’m actually planning to start it later today!
And aww, sorry to hear that your son got sick and that you missed the Leigh Bardugo event– that’s a real bummer. I hope your son feels better soon!
(and yesss, I feel like I’m gonna be binge-reading CK too!)
And yay! I’m glad you’re excited to read Angelfall!

    1. Read Station Eleven! I hope to finally read Wildcard and finish up that duology and I also plan on reading my ARC of Eyes on Me because of how cute it sounds! I hope you have a great reading month and manage to catch up on your Arcs without it being too stressful!

    1. all the best for this month! i’m going to vote for fear the drowning deep because i know how much you love reign of the fallen and it sounds horrorish

    1. I read King of Scars already and it was…interesting. I have thoughts. Curious to see what you will think.

      1. Oh noooo, haha! Interesting in a bad way? I’ve been stunned by how many negative or “meh” reviews I’ve been seeing for it, but I still have high hopes. I’m hoping to pick it up this week. 🙂

        1. Yes and no haha. I thought it would center Nikolai more than it does. But it is Nikolai so still a joy to read. It was a 3,5 star read for me. I’m really curious how she is going to pull it off in the next book.

Say hello! ♥
