April 24, 2019

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

This whole “finish or DNF” weekly goal has really helped me so far, so let’s keep it going! This week, my “finish or DNF” goal will be The Last Time I Lied!

  1. Sorcery of Thorns — 13%
    • I have no idea why I keep forgetting to pick this back up! I think it’s honestly mostly because my ARC was in a stack of books at the back of my desk and “out of sight, out of mind,” but as I’m typing this, I just sat it beside my computer so that I’ll remember to hurry up and finish it!
  2. Dead Until Dark (reread) — 42%
    • My ebook from the library expired last week and it took me some digging around to find my old paperback. ?
  3. Godsgrave — 24%
    • I’ve been forced to read in tiny bursts here in there for the last week or two, and this is the kind of book I only want to read when I can sit down and lose myself in it for a few hours, so I’ve been saving it for a good lazy evening.
  4. The Last Time I Lied — 12%
    • Eh… might DNF this and try again later.
  5. In Darkness, Delight — 6%
    • I didn’t like the first story much and I guess it made me a little lazy to continue it. ?

    1. I wasn’t a big fan of Riley Sagar’s Final Girls, so I didn’t end up picking The Last Time I Lied. I’m kinda glad…? I see you’ve DNFed The Raven’s Tale? Why’s that? I heard it was an Edgar Allan Poe retelling, I think, so I was a bit interested in reading it.

      1. So sorry for such a late reply! You asked why I DNFed The Raven’s Tale – it was just one of those cases of the wrong time for the book, I think. I really expect I’ll like it when I give it another try (probably this coming fall or winter), but it wasn’t clicking with me at the moment, through no real fault of its own!

Say hello! ♥
