It’s time for a weekly check-in!
Happy November, everyone! I can’t believe we’re at the next-to-last month in the year already. 🤯 It’s gonna be 2024 before we know it! This week has been really nice. Halloween was a ton of fun (and COLD, which I loved) and we’ve been having a cold snap for the past couple of days. I’ve spent most of my time over the past few days sitting beside an open window, enjoying the crisp air while I work and read. 😄 The cats have loved the windows being open and Ceylon gets hot easily, so she really enjoys this time of year, which has had her in an extra good and loving mood. 🥰
I had SO many great reads this week! Even my lowest star rating here, Halloween Fiend, was a ton of fun, especially because I read the ebook in the car while we drove my son to trunk-or-treating events, so the vibes were perfect. 😂 I’m so happy I finally finished the Stalking Jack the Ripper series, even if I’m sad to say goodbye to it. And Partying with Pixies was the best book in the series so far IMO! I’m so stoked for book 4 to finally get Morgan and the Keeper’s big love story. 😍 And, of course, Misty and I re-read Fourth Wing together and it was just as good the second time.

Only five current reads? Who am I and what have I done with myself? 😅 I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts. Misty and I are starting a re-read of A Court of Thorns and Roses today and I literally could not be any more excited than I already am to see my fae babies again 🥰

I’m going to give you guys a song this week because I’m fully back into my Bloodywood obsession. 😂 They’re SO good! If you like folk metal at all, you’ve gotta check them out. I think this one’s a year or two old, but it’s probably my favorite song of theirs, and it’s so freaking inspiring and makes me feel like I can take on the world. 😄

November 4, 2023It was SO good! I was a tiny bit worried after Tangling with Trolls but I’m hoping that one was a bit of a one-off for me with this series because I loved books 1 and 3 so much and I have REALLY high hopes for the next book!

November 4, 2023I felt the exact same. 1 and 3 were great but 2 was a bit of a dud. I think book 4 has the potential to become the favorite but we will see.

November 3, 2023Glad you had a great reading week! It’s been a rough one for me since I’ve been so busy that I barely had time to read. The weather has been really chilly though and it kinda motivates me to read even only 10 mins everyday 😀
