It’s time for a weekly check-in!

Somehow it’s been two weeks since my last check-in post! I’m not doing so hot with the “post more blog content” part of my 2024 resolutions so far. 😅 At least the year is young, lol. I’m going to try setting myself a schedule for next week and I think that will help get me back on track! I don’t have anything to report other than to say that I really can’t believe it’s already almost February. I know I’m always talking about how fast time goes by, but this month in particular has really flown.

Even though I completed 6 books in the past two weeks, and a couple of them were pretty long, it doesn’t feel like I’ve read much at all this month. I’m almost done with my January TBR, though, and I’ve mostly been giving very high ratings lately! I didn’t care much for The Shuddering or Bookshops & Bonedust, which were both group reads, but I loved my buddy reads of ACOSF, The Shining, and Waltzing with Witches so much! The Halloweeners was a mood read that I picked out yesterday when I looked for a really short audiobook on hoopla to listen to while I did chores, and it was so cute. I really recommend the series for anyone who likes cheesy, silly lower-MG horror like Goosebumps.

I’ve gotta knock out a few of these. We’re having a round of the Unexpected Readathon over in my discord right now and I’m hoping to finish a couple of these before it ends on the 31st. My main goals are to finish Slaying the Vampire Conqueror and Bewitched, especially since both of those are buddy reads where my partner(s) have just finished the books and I need to catch up so we can discuss them! I’m also starting Throne of the Fallen with Misty later today.

I haven’t really done any gaming or watched anything this week, and I’m mostly listening to the same music I usually do, so I’m not sure what to share on that front either. 😂 Hopefully I’ll have something more exciting for this section next week. Maybe I’ll finally start playing House Flipper 2!
