It’s time for a weekly check-in!
Congratulations to ME because I’ve actually been interested in reading again this week! 😂🥳 I’ve been working a lot and dealing with some new changes at work (nothing bad, just adjustments), so I still haven’t been able to read quite as much as I’d like to, but it’s definitely felt like an improvement just because I’ve found myself wanting to read every day instead of being more interested in other things. That said, I probably won’t read a ton over the next few days because we have such a busy weekend planned: a family day out today and TWO concerts this weekend! (I’ll tell you which bands in next week’s post, but I’m an old lady at heart when it comes to internet privacy and subscribe to the “don’t check in until you leave” social media rule LOL)
It may not look like a huge improvement when you see this list, but like I said: it’s about the mood, not the quantity!
- Deceived by Jennifer Rose ⭐⭐
- Full of Myself: A Graphic Memoir About Body Image by Siobhan Gallagher ⭐⭐⭐⭐
📚 current reads 📚
Despite the busy weekend coming up, I’m really hoping to make pretty significant progress in Winter and to start a buddy read of Murder Road by Simone St. James.
- The Shadow of What Was Lost by James Islington → 54%
- Slaying the Vampire Conqueror by Carissa Broadbent → 36%
- That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming → 15%
- The Invocations by Krystal Sutherland → 61%
- Ghostland: An American History in Haunted Places by Colin Dickey → 49%
- Gather Round: The Internet’s Scariest Campfire Stories edited by Dan DeLuise → 30%
- Savage Bonds by J. Bree → 30%
- Winter by Marissa Meyer → 11%
- Bluejay by Megan Stockton → 10%
Still obsessing over my newly reset Animal Crossing island! I haven’t gotten any new villagers since I updated you all about Marshal moving in last week, if anyone is curious. I’ve been spending most of my time fishing and bug-catching!
What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!
