Watched this Month:
- Into the Dark: They Come Knocking (2019) — 3 ⭐
- Cheesy, but fun. And surprisingly emotional!
- How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019) — 5 ?
- I’m devastated that this series is over. Leave me to mourn…
- Godzilla (1998) [rewatch] — 3.5 ⭐
- An oldie but a… not-so-goodie? Kind-of-goodie? Mediocre-ie?
- Martyrs (2015) [US remake] — 1 ⭐
- TRASH. TRASH. My Letterboxd rating for this is actually HALF a star. What a disgrace to the cinematic genius that was the original French film.
- Cabin Fever (2016) [rewatch; remake] — 3 ⭐
- I had forgotten I’d already watched this until about 2/3 through. That’s how forgettable it was. That said, it has some entertaining spots.
- Jeepers Creepers (2001) [rewatch] — 3 ⭐
- I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this movie. It’s not even that good, but it’s oddly comforting, I guess because of the nostalgia lmao.
- Terrified (2017) — 5 ?
- This was INCREDIBLE. Argentinian horror for the fuckin’ win.
- Hell House LLC (2015) — 5?
- I loved this sooooo much. I can’t believe I still haven’t watched the 2nd one!
- Pokemon Detective Pikachu (2019) — 4.5 ⭐
- I’m no Pokemon fan tbh, but this was cute AF. I don’t think you need to have any prior knowledge of the franchise to enjoy it, honestly.

September 26, 2019It seems like you had an amazing reading month in August! Jeepers Creepers wasn’t a scary movie for me either, but i guess it’s a familiar and comforting horror movie for me too 🙂 Have an amazing September and October!
Destiny @ Howling Libraries
October 1, 2019Thank you! Yes, exactly – Jeepers is just familiar and comfortable at this point haha. 🙂 Thank you, you too! <3

September 26, 2019Hi there! Dig the site. I’m curious–why didn’t you finish Gossamer Mage?
Destiny @ Howling Libraries
October 1, 2019Thanks! Sadly, there’s no nice way to say it — I absolutely hated the writing style. I could see it working for a lot of people, but it was so much the opposite of what I enjoy that I literally kept pausing every few paragraphs to read a bit aloud to my spouse and rant about it. ??

OMG, I can’t believe that I haven’t seen Aterrados yet, I feel like a bad Argentina right now lol, but it makes me happy that you liked it, I’ll check it out very soon, I love horror movies ?
I hope you’re having an incredible September, love & Happy Reading ?
Destiny @ Howling Libraries
October 1, 2019Thank you so much!! <3 Aw, any time, gorgeous!
Ooooh, I hope you love it! I enjoyed it so much. I remember when I was in my late teens, Netflix had a lot more non-US films than they seem to now, and a handful of them were Argentinean horror. I can't recall the names of any of them right now, but I remember being amazed by every single one! Do you have any other recommendations I could look up and see if I can rent here? <3
Thank you beautiful! I hope you are too!

October 1, 2019Yesss! I really loved the ending!

October 14, 2019Lovely post, Destiny! <3 Ah, I am STILL devastated from the third How to Train Your Dragon movie. It was such a brilliant end to an amazing series! I'm glad that you had so many 4 and 5 star reads in August (even if a few were rereads. Haha!). It's always so much fun to revisit favorite books! I hope your September and current October reads have been just as enjoyable!
Destiny @ Howling Libraries
November 28, 2019Thank you, Kelly! Oh my gosh, same on How to Train Your Dragon, it was so good but it made my heart hurt!
