It’s time for round 2 of Scoobathon!
I’m here with a very exciting announcement today: it’s time for round 2 of the Scoobathon readathon, and Ellyn has invited me to help co-host this round! You all know I love some spooky reads, and I grew up on Scooby-Doo and will forever adore the Mystery gang, so I’m totally here for this readathon!
readathon info:
- October 17 – 23, 2022
- hosted by Ellyn @ Allonsythornraxx (original announcement post here)
- official Twitter here
- Prompts are OPTIONAL—the main goal is to read spooky and/or Scooby-esque things!
- Comics, graphic novels, manga, picture books, novels, novellas are all accepted! Read whatever you like!
- You can count the same book towards multiple prompts!
- I’m not here to control what you read – if you can fit the book to the prompt, then it fits!
- “Do I have to read Scooby-Doo related books?” No, you can read whatever you like!

my Scoobathon TBR:
I decided to pick 5 books for my TBR, and I managed to fit 5 books from my pre-existing October reading plans to fit some of the Scoobathon prompts, too, so it worked out perfectly!
- Sin Eater // Megan Campisi → #12 a beautiful cover; #15 a book involving food
- Effects Vary // Michael Harris Cohen → #2 something spooky
- Alice // Christina Henry → #3 an animal on the cover
- Pestilence // Laura Thalassa → #8 a romance
- A Dowry of Blood // S.T. Gibson → #10 a paranormal creature (vampires); #14 queer rep
Are you joining us for Scoobathon?

November 7, 2022Take your time, but I’m definitely eager for your thoughts. Falco enabled my reading addiction a little bit ago and bought the third book, Famine, for me. So if you end up continuing the series…. *brow waggles* ??
