Spring 2023 TBR (and a look back at my Winter TBR progress)

March 21, 2023

It’s time for my Spring TBR!

Before diving into my summer goals, I want to take a look back at my Winter TBR and see how much progress I’ve made.

winter ’23 tbr

  1. ✅ Tell Me I’m Worthless ⭐
  2. ✅ What Lies in the Woods ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  3. How to Sell a Haunted House
  4. ⌛ Do I Have to Wear Black?
  5. Nettle & Bone
  6. ⌛ Annihilation

As you can see, I finished two books from my TBR, am currently reading two, and two are still on my TBR (and I’m planning on starting them both this week!). It’s not much of a success since I technically only completed 33% of my Winter TBR, but it was a rough reading season, so I won’t hold it against myself. 😂

spring ’23 tbr

🌸 Paradise-1 // David Wellington → releases April 4, 2023 → I LOVE space horror, and I especially love the trope of “someone wakes up from cryo-sleep and finds out shit has hit the fan”, so this is right up my alley!

🌸 The Salt Grows Heavy // Cassandra Khaw → releases May 1, 2023 → Mermaids, plague doctors, it’s queer… and most of all, Cass hasn’t let me down yet. 😍

🌸 Everything the Darkness Eats // Eric LaRocca → releases June 6, 2023 → I love everything Eric has written so far and I’m very grateful to have gotten an eARC of this, which I can’t believe I haven’t read yet, honestly!

🌸 Briardark // S.A. Harian → I’ve seen a lot of people raving about this book lately, and my mom absolutely adored it and swears I will too!

🌸 Unbreakable // Mira Grant → This is Mira’s newest Subterranean Press novella (which, naturally, I pre-ordered) and I can’t wait to read it. How great is that cover?!

🌸 Pretty Girls // Karin Slaughter → For my last Spring TBR pick, I went to my “top TBR” bookshelves in my library and literally just glanced over them until something jumped out at me. 😂 I’ve been meaning to read this for YEARS!

What’s on your Spring TBR?

    1. I’m going to be reading Paradise 1 and The Salt Grows Heavy as well. There are so many awesome sounding releases this Spring😁

      1. There really are! I hope we both love both of them – I have very high hopes for The Salt Grows Heavy, but I won’t lie, the page count on Paradise-1 has me sweating a little. 😂 I don’t reach for books this long very often these days unless they’re fantasy!

    1. I really want to get Nettle & Bone! The synopsis sounds so good! Five stars to What Lies in the Woods?! Guess I’m bumping that up on my ‘to read’ list! Your spring tbr looks amazing though! I hope you find some new favorites. ❤

      1. I love T Kingfisher SO much, and am so hyped for Nettle & Bone! What Lies in the Woods was incredible but HEAVY, so definitely be aware of that ahead of time (I’ll put CWs in my review when I get it posted, of course!) ♥

        1. I have never read a T. Kingfisher book yet. I’m definitely going to have to change that. Yay! I’m glad you’re hyped about Nettle & Bone! ♥ I think I’ve seen if on a few other posts you made (I could be wrong). Ooooo okay yes! I will definitely have to look at your CWs for it then!

    1. I think the only one I have on my TBR is Nettle and Bone. I hope you get through these and have a lovely Spring! <3

    1. Ooh glad to see you liked What Lies in the Woods! I STILL haven’t read Cassandra Khaw’s other book but maybe I’ll do a double feature of sorts because that looks good. Mermaid! Seems like every time I close my eyes another 50 books jump onto my tbr 😂 😂

      1. It was so good! Cassandra Khaw is amazing – def not for everyone, sadly 😅 – but very much up my alley! I hope you’ll like their work too when you check it out!! 🥰

Say hello! ♥
