Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s theme is books we’d like to get for the holidays! Here are a handful of 2020 releases I’m dying to get my hands on. ? To make it easy, I’ve just listed them in chronological order instead of the order I want them most in!

house of earth and blood

Naturally, as self-admitted SJM trash, I had to put this one on the list. I know she isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and I know she’s certainly not without flaw, but… I still think she writes super fun stories & I have high hopes for this new one!

the bank

This is a release I’ll be surprised to find on many other bloggers’ 2020 radars, tbh, but it doesn’t make me any less eager! Bentley was my intro to “weird” and slightly bizarro horror as a kid, so he’s always had a really strange, special place in my heart, and I’m very ready for a new book from him!

Look at the grouchy space elf teddy bear! Just LOOK at him. ? I am soooo freaking ready to get back to Squad 312. I think I’ll even do a reread of the first book beforehand!

the extraordinaries

Most people would think it doesn’t make any sense to stan an author this hard after only reading a 50-page novella from them and nothing else, but I… am not most people. And I am ridiculously excited for everything T.J. Klune has going on.

the ballad of songbirds and snakes

may 19th, 2020
My entire life since this was announced has just been a nonstop display of incoherent, fangirlish screaming and I don’t think that will change any time soon. When they posted this announcement, I literally went in the bathroom at work and CRIED. I’m so pumped!

dragon unleashed

*whispering* Please please please please please don’t let this get pushed back again…

i’ll be the one

A beautiful fat bisexual Korean-American girl on the cover of a cute-ass contemporary novel. I… I really don’t have words for how much I need this. It looks amazing.

take a hint, dani brown

I’ve had a little time to think on it, and I feel comfortable in officially calling Get a Life, Chloe Brown my single #1 fave of 2019, so it only stands to reason that the second book in the series would be one of my absolute top-most anticipated releases of 2020!

empire of the vampire

september 3rd, 2020
Anyone who knows me knows I adore Jay Kristoff, so it’s no wonder this is one of my most anticipated releases of 2020… but it’s more than that, because something in my gut tells me, I swear, this is going to be my favorite Jay Kristoff release yet. I don’t know why, I just FEEL IT IN MY BONES.

kingdom of the wicked

I really can’t believe we’re already being blessed with another series from Kerri Maniscalco. ??? And you just know it’s going to have a gorgeous cover…

What are the 2020 titles you most wish you could find under your tree?

    1. Looks like you have some great 2020 books on your horizon. I’ve seen tj klune pop up on my twitter feed a lot lately. I’ll have to check him out.

    1. I am also so excited for Sarah J. Maas’s new story! The cover is so beautiful. I loved Throne of Glass but didn’t like were the series was heading after book 2 so I ended up DNFing the series. But ACOTAR was amazing and I still love those books so freaking much. I hope this next she releases steals my heart <3

    1. I’m also exited for house of earth and blood. Other books I wish I got for Christmas are Imagine Me by Tahereh Mafi, The Sinner by J.R. Ward and Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare.
