T10T — Bookstagram Shout-outs!

March 10, 2020

TTT-Big2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s theme is to pick 10 authors I like on social media. I can definitely name 10, but I thought I’d like to put a spin on this topic and celebrate some of us in the community, instead — so here are 10 of my favorite bookstagrammers!

And of course, shameless plug — if you’d like to check out my bookstagram, it’s right here!

@offaerietalesandbooks

Areli is one of my all-time favorite bookstagrammers. She’s so sweet and caring, her reviews are super thoughtful, and her photos are BEAUTIFUL! She also has the cutest kiddos and I love it when they make surprise appearances in her  stories. ♥

@bookwnoname

Delara is one of the accounts I’ve been following the longest, and I have never stopped being amazed by how ridiculously bad ASS their aesthetic is. Loads of daggers and dark edits, and the pictures they pose in always ooze this awesome level of “cool kid” vibes I could never compare to. ?

@holo.reader

You gotta know I’d be lying through my teeth if I tried to make this list without mentioning Cassie, spooky rainbow queen of my life and one of the literal best people I know. ? Plus, this awesome mug? She MADE that and sells stuff like it in her Etsy shop. *in awe forever*

@8luebird

Natalie is a bookstagrammer I started following a little while back, and this dark, soft aesthetic kills me! I love her new selfie review post style, too.

@starlightbooktales

I’m so envious of bookstagrammers who have such a clear theme, you know it’s their post the second you see it in your feed — which you may notice is a common theme with a lot of these shout-outs if you look at their pages! — and Joleen is one of the first that comes to mind in that aspect. I love her editing style and layouts so much and could stare at them forever!

@rusticpages

You know what’s the only thing better than a great bookstagrammer? A great bookstagrammer who’s also lovely and sweet and helpful. ♥  Kat had this guide to editing IG pictures a couple of years back that literally changed my life, and now she’s on booktube — where I saw she recently posted a video about bookstagram tips, too (which I’m going to watch as soon as I finish writing this post!). Plus, her pictures are SO stunning.

@estherthreetimes

This has to be one of the prettiest, warmest, most… home-y? feed I follow, and I would just about give my left leg to be able to make pictures this pretty. ?

@inkandmyths

Hannah’s feed is so clean, and soft, and it just makes me want to cozy up with a book and a blanket and a hot cup of tea. ? She comes up with some of the most creative layouts, too!

@grumplstiltskin

Lee-ann has such a cozy, soft, warm feed and I LOVE her use of her windows, especially in the pictures where it looks gloomy and grey outside — it feels like it would be the perfect reading nook!

@lulumoonowlbooks

And finally, the award for some of the coolest and most intricate edits goes to this bookstagrammer right here. I am AMAZED by the amount of work that goes into these pictures!

These are nowhere near all of my favorites, but it’s a good start. Who are your favorite bookstagrammers? Let me know so I can check out their accounts!

    1. Hmmm… I don’t follow too many bookstagrammers, unless they also happen to be bloggers too. If I meet them over here at Top Ten Tuesday, chances are I’ll follow them on Instagram as well. At least 9 of these are new to me.

      1. I don’t think I follow any of these accounts. It just goes to show you there are SO many Bookstagrammers out there?

    1. Ooh I really have to go and follow these accounts!

    1. Ahh Destiny, this post makes me so happy! Thank you so much for including my bookstagram account in this wonderful list ?
      Some of my favourite bookstagrammers are @faerieontheself, @xcrini, @anovelescape, @novelandfolk and @fantasticbooksandwheretofindem ♥️

    1. All of these folks sound like they’re great people to follow. Nice list. 🙂

      My TTT .

    1. I love your twist on this. Thanks for giving me some new bookstagrammers to follow. By the way, this is Barb @ Booker T’s Farm but I had to register a WordPress account to post because a lot of my comments were not posting!

    1. Omg these are all insanely gorgeous instagram feeds! I want spaces that look like this and that I can make pretty ? These pictures look so effortless but after having an instagram for one year and totally burning myself out trying to get all the pretty pictures, I know it definitely takes time! This is sort of inspiring me to get back on IG now. Great list!

    1. I’m always so impressed when people manage to create such a unique feed that I instantly know when a random picture is theirs. I tend to follow bright and pastel themed accounts, so I haven’t heard of most of these bookstagramers. But I’ll definitely have to check them out now!

Say hello! ♥
