The WINNER of last week’s “lows” vote was… *drumroll*
POISON STUDY by Maria V. Snyder!
As promised, I’ll now add this book to my “top-TBR” shelf on Goodreads to remind me to read it within the next 18 months.
Rules:
- Link back to the original post at Howling Libraries
- Sort your Goodreads TBR shelf by date added, ascending
- Find 5-10 (or more, if you feel ambitious!) titles to purge from your TBR (the “lows”)
- ALTERNATIVE OPTION: Find 5+ titles that are at the BOTTOM of your TBR—books you want to read someday, just not right now!
- Post those 5 books in the list, with a brief explanation
- Next, sort your Goodreads TBR shelf by date added, descending
- List the last 5 (or more!) books you added to your TBR, with a synopsis or your brief summary of why you added it (the “highs”)
This week’s posts:
- Sionna made my TBR bigger as always!
- Ari always has amazing lists!
- Mandy was ruthless with those removals! ?

Oooh Daisy Jones and the Six, and the Beholder sound so interesting! Although I haven’t read it, I’ve heard Red Rising is great! It’s one of my TBR lows as well, but I’m hoping to push it up my list! Haha. Great post, love! ❤️
Don’t they?! I totally need to read them both haha. Have you read anything by Taylor Jenkins Reid yet? She’s so talented! And thank you, Kelly! ♥♥
I loved The Queen’s Rising and the next book is coming out early next year, so I’d recommend that one to move up on your TBR 😉
Ooooh, awesome! I never hear anyone talk about it! Thanks for voting <3
I never do either and I don’t know why!! It’s a slow build but such beautiful world building, and sort of like Game of Thrones but minus all the blood and gore LOL ? Hope you enjoy when you get around to reading it 😉
Thank you haha! That sounds great <3
I’ll be really curious about your thoughts with YOU’D BE MINE. Erin is an absolute *gem* of a person, but I’m not much for contemporary books, usually (though this one might be an exception, so yes, definitely curious).
Oooh, nice! I don’t know anything about the author at all so that makes me super happy to hear, I love supporting authors who double as just all-around good human beings haha! I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it. I love YA contemporary when the mood strikes me and I’ve been in the mood for it lately so I might end up picking it up sooner rather than later!

I love Poison Study!! I vote for Red Rising (and then can you inspire me to read it as well?)
Thank you! Your vote has been counted 😀 Haha I have a feeling Red Rising might win!
You could do it as a book club / readalong. It looks like there’s a few of us who haven’t read it either… ?
Bahaha maybe I should do that! A group read on twitter and here in the spring or something!
Sounds perfect!!
I’m super excited for You’d Be Mine and In Another Life! I have them on my kindle and I’m trying REALLY hard to not read them this early!
I feel you! I’m trying lately to stop forcing myself to wait until right before the release date because sometimes I get a book that doesn’t come out for a while but I just want SO BADLY to read it ASAP. I figure I can always start writing my reviews as soon as I finish reading and saving them in my drafts until closer to the release date.
I can understand about not reading the book right before the release date. I’m so bad at that! But I do like your idea of reading and saving my review until closer to the release date.
If you ever want to read either one of these together, I’m game!
That sounds fun, let’s do it! 🙂
Yay! Let me know when is a good time for you.
SAVAGE SPECIES I need it in my life so badly.
I’m so ready for it!! Technically my copy isn’t here yet but I went ahead and marked it since they’ve already confirmed it for me, but I’m seriously so stoked, it just sounds really intriguing and I’m typically a fan of novellas being bound into one full novel, which I assume is what’s going on there.
OMGGGG what is that Pan’s Labyrinth book I love Cornelia Funke and theoretically love Pan’s Labyrinth (I’ve never actually watched the film…….) *runs to Goodreads*
Omg, you gotta see Pan’s Labyrinth! It is SO GOOD. It’s pretty creepy though so I guess you might want a heads up for that if you don’t like creepy movies haha! But it’s excellent, so well done.
I like creepy things on the page but not so much the screen ? One day I will work up the nerve to watch it, hopefully!
Aw I don’t blame you <3 If you do, I hope you like it!
