The Weekly Wrap — January 15th, 2020

January 15, 2020

The Weekly Wrap is a new post I’ll be doing every week where we’ll talk about current reads, recently finished reads, what I’m listening to, games I’m playing, movies I’m watching, and general life stuff. ♥ If you’re a fan of my past WWW Wednesday & The Sunday Post updates, you’ll love this combination of the two!

what I watched:

? Nurse 3D (2013) — ? — ⭐⭐? (I don’t know what possessed me to rewatch this, but there’s something hilariously, weirdly intriguing about it.)
? The Final (2010) — ? (One of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Not even bad in a funny way, just… BAD lmao.)
? Channel Zero (S1) — ⭐⭐⭐⭐? (Spouse and I started this on a whim last night and binged the first season in one sitting because it was so good!)

what I’m listening to:

? No music, just more audiobooks this week!

what I’m playing:

? Sally’s Salon (I decided to replay an oldie… wasn’t super into it, but it was a nice mindless thing to do while cuddling a sick toddler, and for some reason he liked it ?)

life updates:

Whew, what a doozy of a week. Early last week, my 3-year-old started running high fevers, etc., and by Thursday he was so sick we took him to the doctor and found out he had the flu (despite having the flu shot, poor thing), strep, AND an ear infection. He was miserable until Monday, but by the time he was feeling better, I started feeling pretty shitty. At the time I’m writing this up, I feel kind of under the weather and had a high fever earlier, so I’m really hoping it’s a fluke thing and that I’m not about to be super sick, too. On top of that, my semester started Monday and I’m SUPER stressed about it… so any good vibes are more than welcome <3

    1. I hope you and your kid are feeling better, Destiny! <3 How are you liking Capturing the Devil? I haven't read it yet, but I was honestly a little bit underwhelmed by Escaping From Houdini, so I'm sure as to whether or not I should pick up the next book! My love of Thomas Cresswell might be the factor that persuades me to read it 🙂

      1. Thank you, love! He’s all better by now, thank goodness. <3 I'm mostly on the mend so I can't complain!

I sadly set Capturing the Devil aside because I was having such a hard time getting into it! 🙁 I have SUCH a hard time finishing a series anyways, and then like you, I was a little underwhelmed with book 3. I'm hoping we both find the motivation to finish the series soon ? I will say that what I had read of the 4th book so far was good! And shockingly steamy ?

Say hello! ♥
