weekly check-in

It’s time for a weekly check-in!

life update

It’s been a mostly good week, though I have no idea where it’s gone. My spouse’s birthday was Tuesday, so we had some nice family time celebrating that! On the less exciting side, I got turned down for a job I applied for that I was really crossing my fingers I’d get, so that was a pretty big disappointment, but I’m hopeful that something good will come along soon (preferably something with a raise from my current pay, lol).

just finishedI haven’t read much in the past few days, but I inhaled The Salt Grows Heavy in one quick go last night. It was incredible!

I really want to work on finishing some of these that I’ve been working on for a while, but first, I’m planning to start Hidden Pictures today since I have a group discussion about it on Sunday. I don’t have high hopes for it, but we’ll see 👀

📚 current reads 📚

and everything else My spouse introduced our kiddo to Total Dramarama and it’s all my son has been watching for the past few days, which means it’s all I’ve watched, too. At least it’s really cute 😂

Heads up: you can always friend me on Letterboxd if you wanna see my movie mini reviews!

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Sorry to hear about the job, I hope you get a good offer soon! 🙏🏻 I love the movie for Howl’s Moving Castle, but I have heard that the book is so different!

    1. I’m so sorry to hear about the job. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll get a better job offer soon! 🤞 I’m pretty sure we talked about this before, but the Howl in the book is so different from the one in the movie. I definitely think, for me personally, the movie was better than the book. Which I don’t often find myself saying that.

Say hello! ♥
