WWW Wednesday: hope I didn’t “April Fool” myself?

April 6, 2022

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What I’m currently reading:

This was almost another late WWW post! I forgot that I hadn’t finished this post yet until just a few minutes ago (when I normally try to get things posted by 10 or 11am EST, and it’s currently almost 3pm), but I figured posting it later in the day than normal was better than a whole day (or week) late. 😅 I didn’t make much progress on my current reads over the last week, as you can see.

What I recently finished:

It feels like I did more reading over the past week than I actually did, but I think that’s just because I started the month off so strong! I read 2 novellas on April 1st. Maybe the April’s Fool joke I played on myself was thinking I could keep up that reading speed throughout the week. 😂

  • tryst six venom // penelope douglas (DNF)
I’m just not a bully romance reader and it’s high time I accept that.
  • the bone cutters // renee s. decamillis
The good news is that I finally read this novella I was looking forward to for so long! The bad news is that it was pretty bad lol.
  • come closer // sara gran
Luckily, my other April 1st read was another anticipated horror novella and was MUCH better. I loved this and I fully get the hype!

What I’ll read next:

Mainly I need to focus on current reads, but I am very excited for a few buddy reads I have coming up!

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I’m currently in the middle of 3 books. The Rise of the Raidin by Susan L. Markloff, Her Alien Savior by Elle Thorne and Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare.

I haven’t finished any books yet this week and I am looking forward to starting The Guncle by Steven Rowley very soon.

      1. I hope you like all of your current reads, and The Guncle when you start it (if you haven’t already)! I’ve heard a lot of rave reviews for The Guncle but I’m not too familiar with its premise, so I’ll be looking out for your thoughts on it 🙂

        1. I don’t actually remember what The Guncle is about now that you mention it I just know that I really want to read it. Thank you!!

    1. Good luck with your reads! Shadow of the Gods is good. I’m reading book two now and it’s even better so far!! I really liked Dating Dr. Dil too!

      My WWW!

      1. Thank you! I am liking Shadow enough so far that I pre-ordered the second book, and now I’m thinking maybe it works out that I haven’t finished it yet so I can read them back-to-back if I want lol!

I’m glad you liked Dating Dr. Dil! I just finished it this morning and it was fun. 😀

        1. Yay!! I just posted my review for the second book and I loved it more than Shadow of Gods! It was a quicker read and just so good. Absolutely, it’s great when you can read series books back to back! 😊😊

Glad you enjoyed Dating Dr. Dil!! 😍

    1. I feel the same, trying to keep up the momentum of the weekend. It’s just not possible, lol🤣

    1. Good luck with your reading plans! 🥰 Every time I see Vespertine, I’m reminded that I really need to read it, but somehow I never find the perfect time 🥺

Say hello! ♥
