WWW Wednesday: April 23, 2025
Happy Wednesday! If it tells you anything about where my head is at, I thought today was Monday at first. 🤣 I had a long weekend for the holiday and then took a family day trip yesterday, so it felt like a super long weekend and now I’m all bamboozled. I should have started work for the day, but I slept late and then decided to write this post up before I clock in. 🫠 Oops.
1. What did you read last?
I broke a 50-day reading streak last week and have been struggling a little since then! I feel like I’m on the verge of a reading slump, honestly. I’m starting two new buddy reads today that are both new-to-me books by authors I really love, so I’m hoping that combo will kick the slump before it sinks its hooks into me. 😭

Misty and I finished our Serpent reread and we both loved it all over again! I love Carissa Broadbent’s writing so much. I can’t wait to reread Ashes and then finally pick up the newest release in the series!
2. What are you currently reading?
I think part of my slump-y feeling is coming from the fact that I’m not really in the mood for a couple of my current reads, but they’re also books I don’t want to DNF. I think I’m going to try picking up another chapter of Unfuck Your Brain today and, if it still doesn’t feel like something I’m really in the mood for, I’ll just put it back on my TBR. I’m determined to finish What If? this week, even if I just have to put it on in the background while I do chores. At least I’m enjoying my other two reads!

3. What will you read next?
Misty and I both realized we weren’t totally in the mood for Two Twisted Crowns right this moment, so we’re going to pick up Scythe and Sparrow instead today (and then Two Twisted Crowns afterward)! I’m also starting a Cassie Mint series with Malli today! I’ve been addicted to Cassie’s novellas lately. But before I read Thief, I want to read the only remaining book in the current Cassie Mint series I’m reading, which is The Tutor.
