WWW Wednesday: the final WWW update for 2021!

December 29, 2021

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What I’m currently reading:

These are all of my current reads right now. I don’t know if I can finish them by January 1st, but I’m going to try!

✨ The House in the Cerulean Sea // T.J. Klune
A Court of Wings and Ruin // Sarah J. Maas (RE-READ)
For the Wolf // Hannah F. Whitten

What I recently finished:

I skipped last week’s WWW, so this is everything I’ve finished in the past two weeks!

Living with Mochi // Gemma Gene
Very cute, highly recommended for dog lovers.

Sweat and Soap, Volumes 4, 5, and 6 // Kintetsu Yamada
Still absolutely obsessed.

Lunarbaboon: The Daily Life of Parenthood // Christopher Grady
Cute, but a bit disappointing, with nothing new to offer for people who already follow Lunarbaboon on social media.

The Boss Who Stole Christmas // Jana Aston (RE-READ)
This was a re-read and I didn’t enjoy it as much the second time around, but it was still decently cute.

The Backstagers, Vol. 3 // James Tynion IV
Unfortunately a pretty disappointing end to an otherwise fantastic graphic novel series.

Ice Planet Barbarians // Ruby Dixon
I had a LOT of issues with certain elements (mainly stuff revolving around consent and pregnancy), but I was also intrigued enough to probably continue the series.

Lore Olympus: Volume One // Rachel Smythe
Hi, hello, I put off reading this comic for far too long because I knew it would become a new obsession and SURPRISE, I’M OBSESSED.

✨ Peel Back and See // Mike Thorn
Mike is an incredibly talented author and I always love his short stories, so I’m not surprised to say I loved this collection, too!

What I’ll read next:

I’m not starting anything new until January 1st so I can only focus on current reads, so I’ll leave this space empty this week!

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Let me know in the comments!

    1. Enjoy your reading!
I´m currenly reading Sea of Rust and listening to The Life Below!

    1. I haven’t read any of your current reads but I’ve heard good things about all of them! Hope they’re going well for you. I’d like to try For the Wolf sometime. Right now I am trying to finish Ice Ghosts, about the Franklin expedition for the Northwest Passage.

        1. It was pretty good! I was interested in reading it for the updates from when the ships were discovered, which starts around 75% in (actually when the book was published only the Erebus had been found.) It focuses mostly on the search for the expedition rather than the expedition itself.

          1. Of course, as soon as I hit ‘post comment’ I realized I had confused this book for another one I finished more recently that talks about the Northwest Passage haha… Ice Ghosts /does/ include the discovery of the Terror………in case you were wondering 😂

    1. I see that you finally read Lore Olympus! Welcome to the club! May your new obsession consume your soul like it does for the rest of us! ❤️‍🔥 But seriously, I’m so glad you read it and loved it! Hands down one of my favorite webcomics/graphic novel series!

        1. Season 2, season 2, season 2! I’m so hyped for you to read it. I think it’s this July the second one comes out. I’m just so glad you loved it! ❤️

Say hello! ♥
