Looking forward to your reviews on The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and Moon Called! Both of these are on my TBR. and I finally got my copy of Spinning Silver, I’m excited to get to that this month hopefully!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 9:08 pm

Hopefully I will get them posted on Goodreads this week and my blog in the next couple of weeks! I enjoyed them both so much. 🙂 Oooooh I hope you love Spinning Silver!! Let me know what you think, good or bad!

Ooh you’ve been reading a lot of old YA paranormal this month, it makes me feel nostalgic!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 9:11 pm

Haha I did! It was for the “throwback” event I was doing. I originally planned to continue that into August but then I realized my ARC TBR is ridiculous and decided to ditch the throwback thing for ARCAugust.

OMG you read so many amazing books! Hope you have an awesome August!!

  • Reply Marie August 2, 2018 at 1:20 pm

OH I loved A Quiet Kind of Thunder and Mara Dyer, I can’t wait to hear what you thought of them both 😀
    I hope you’ll have a fantastic August 🙂 <3

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 9:15 pm

They were both such great reads! 😀 Thank you so much Marie, I hope you do, too! Can’t wait to see your reading updates this month!

I love your emoji key. 🙂 Interesting to see you didn’t love Clockwork Angel, tho you’re a CC fan. I’m definitely in the camp that I might like the prequels better than Mortal Instruments (as you mentioned many are). But, honestly, I love them all… who am I kidding? It’s always nice to see fresh perspectives though. Thanks for sharing!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 9:17 pm

      Thank you! 🙂
Oooh yeah, it just hasn’t been a great series for me so far, but I will say I’m halfway through book 2 right now and I feel like it’s finally “hooked” me so I have VERY high hopes for the ending and for book 3!!

  • Reply Kelly | Kelly's Rambles August 2, 2018 at 3:07 pm

Wow, you have read SO many books this month – go you! 🙂 My heart definitely fluttered when I saw you have read A Quiet Kind of Thunder – it is one of my favourite books and Sara Barnard is one of my favourite authors and people! Have you read her first book? Beautiful Broken Things (UK)/Fragile Like Us (US).
I have a few of these on my TBR but I really do need to read the Mara Dyer trilogy soon – I’ve owned it for waaay too long for it to be acceptable!!
I hope August is just as book-filled! 🙂

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:37 pm

Thank you! No, this was my first book by her but I will definitely have to check out more of her work because it was so sweet and fun. 🙂 Thank you, Kelly, I hope your August reading is perfect!

Awesome wrap-up, you read a ton of great books! I also love how you use a key to signify all the different things each book has! That’s really helpful for me.

  • Reply booksandblends August 2, 2018 at 4:44 pm

you read a lot of books! I can’t wait for your review on Sawkill Girls.

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:38 pm

I did! It was a good reading month. I’ll hopefully be getting that review up some time this month or maybe in September!

  • Reply trufflereads August 2, 2018 at 4:51 pm

All this old YA giving me throwback feels, I want to reread them too haha ? great wrap up! I can’t imagine what you’re reading is like when you’re not in a reading slump!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:39 pm

Bahaha right?! I’m low key sad that I have to neglect this month’s half of the throwback event to focus on ARCs because it was pretty fun to have those nostalgic titles. Thank you! This actually ended up being a really good month for me once I kicked that slump!

i am FREAKING OUT at how much you read. seriously. so impressive.
& i’ll try to get over that 2 star to anna and the french kiss with the nice rating for You <3 <3 <3

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:39 pm

      Thank you!
Lmaooo you know I had a lot of fun with it while I was reading it! It was just one of those that, once I finished it and thought about it more, certain things rubbed at me wrong 🙁

  • Reply Laura @ What to Read Next August 2, 2018 at 7:40 pm

    You had an incredible month!
I read Sawkill Girls last month and gave it a 3 star. I don’t think it was the right genre for me. I am glad that you liked it.

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:41 pm

      Thank you! ♥
I’m sorry Sawkill didn’t work as well for you! I definitely think it will be a polarizing read because it’s being marketed as horror/thriller when it’s more of a magical realism story IMO, and I think a lot of people don’t like MR or have to be in the right mood for it, you know? Plus the writing is a bit unusual – my point is, I can 100% understand why it wouldn’t be a 5 star read for everyone lol! I hope your reads this month are better, though!

  • Reply Fawn & Fern Books August 2, 2018 at 8:23 pm

Girl, HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME FOR ALL THIS READING!? And with a baby???? Teach me your ways!!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:42 pm

I… I honestly don’t know ?? I just have no life and I never sleep, I guess? Plus I read a lot of ebooks and he likes cuddling on the couch watching TV while I read on my kindle! And this month, I managed to find audiobooks for a few of these on Scribd.com, which helped SO MUCH because I would put them on 1.5x or 1.8x and listen while I did chores!

  • Reply Mogsy @ BiblioSanctum August 2, 2018 at 9:57 pm

Wow, that’s a lot of books read in July, way to go!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:43 pm

Thank you! 🙂 It was a little more than my usual average – not sure what was different but I’m not complaining!

  • Reply Kaleena @ Reader Voracious August 2, 2018 at 10:07 pm

holy moly you read so many books last month! I definitely am exciting to try Nyxia again sometime in the future when we will hopefully both like it. xoxo

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:43 pm

It was a surprisingly good month for my class to have been going on for most of it – I’m proud of myself! 😀 Thank you! And yessss, I really hope it works better for us next time ♥

Holy wrap up girl! You killed it this month 🙂 I got my copy of Contagion and I’m SO stoked to read it (hopefully this month dang it). Hopefully August is another awesome reading month!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 2, 2018 at 11:44 pm

Haha thank you! Oh awesome, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. 😀 I hope you love it and have nothing but 5-star reads this month (or as close to them as we can dream for, lol)!

      • Reply MetalPhantasmReads August 3, 2018 at 10:33 am

Me too 🙂 so far my current read could be a 5 star so we shall see! Me too. Contagion has been calling to me lol

  • Reply Brooke Lorren August 3, 2018 at 1:29 pm

Wow! You had an amazing reading month! The only book out of the above that I’ve read so far is The Hunger Games… but I read that both in English and in Spanish, so that counts twice, right? Several others are on my TBR though.

  • Reply Alicia @ A Kernel of Nonsense August 3, 2018 at 11:17 pm

I’m so glad you enjoyed Spinning Silver and Mirage. I’m really looking forward to both those books. Ugh, Hush, Hush is the worse. If I ever had to burn a book, I’d burn that one. Hope you enjoy your August!

    • Reply Destiny @ Howling Libraries August 4, 2018 at 7:08 pm

Spinning Silver and Mirage were both excellent! I hope you love them. And I don’t blame you for threatening to burn Hush Hush, lmao! It was ROUGH! Thank you Alicia, you too! ♥
