June Haul & Wrap-up

July 1, 2017

This month looks like a bit of a doozy, but I’m actually proud to announce that I set myself a goal of only purchasing ebooks that were on sale, and BOTM books… and I succeeded! Well, almost.

June Wrap-Up

The Lightning Thief – Rick Riordan (review) ★★★★☆
Thirteen Chairs – Dave Shelton (review) ★★★★☆
What I Lost – Alexandra Ballard (RTC) ★★★★☆
Royal Bastards – Andrew Shvarts (review) ★★★★★
The Waking Land – Callie Bates (review) ★★☆☆☆
The Raven Boys – Maggie Stiefvater (review) ★★★★★
Now I Rise – Kiersten White (review) ★★★★★
Aftercare Instructions – Bonnie Pipkin (review) ★★★★★
A Darker Shade of Magic – V.E. Schwab (RTC) ★★★★★

As you can see, I had a pretty awesome reading month in July! I finished 10 books (which was more than my goal of 8), I read 7/9 of my June TBR choices, and all of my reads were 4- or 5-star reads except 2 of them! I also was planning on 50% of my June reads being ARCs, and I surpassed that by 10%. (Hey, it’s the small victories!)

Now, on to the hauls…

More about Destiny @ Howling Libraries

Just a horror aficionado/geek girl trying to juggle motherhood, reading, blogging, gaming, and everyday life.

    1. That’s an impressive amount of books you’ve read! I’ve only read Percy Jackson from all of them but I’ll definitely make sure to check the rest!

    1. I’m glad you had a good reading month in June, and I hope July is just as great! I also got Once and For All by Dessen. I got The Last Star by Yancey and Everything, Everything in June too. Most of my other books were from the library!

    1. Looks like a great month! I need to start using my kindle more… For some reason I have a problem with it. I like it and everything, but I don’t use it as much as I should.. I don’t know. Haha.

      1. I go through spells! Sometimes I use it daily and sometimes I don’t touch it for two weeks. I guess it depends on my mood. It’s just so handy for reading in bed or in the car, though.

Say hello! ♥
