May TBR: finishing a beloved series & some thrilling group reads!

May 1, 2023

Another month, another TBR ~

April was my best reading month of the year so far, I think! It was a nice mix of TBR picks and mood reading, and I listened to a lot of audiobooks. I got back into a good schedule for posting content (including sort of returning to twitter), I joined a few group reads, and I found my new favorite book of the year so far! Most of all, I finally whittled my “currently reading” list down to a manageable number and it was so relieving 😅

April goal check-in:

  1. Make 3+ bookstagram posts per week ✅
  2. Write 3+ blog posts per week ✅
  3. Get down to 8 or less current reads ✅ (I did it!!! I have FOUR current reads right now!)

My goals for May are:

My goals this month are mostly about consistency:

  1. Keep making 3+ bookstagram posts per week
  2. Keep writing 3+ blog posts per week
  3. End the month with 6 or less current reads

may’s picks:

Another batch of group and buddy reads! I can’t believe it’s time to finally read the TOG finale 😭

🌷Kingdom of Ash // Sarah J. Maas → Misty and I are jumping right into this finale and I’m so excited, but also so nervous!
🌷 Hidden Pictures // Jason Rekulak → I’m reading this with TBR & Beyond! I’ve heard VERY mixed reviews and it seems like everyone either hates or loves this book, and I’ve also heard some rumors that it might have some problematic content, but I hadn’t heard that until after purchasing the book and a lot of friends I trust have raved about this one, so I’ve decided to find out for myself.
🌷 The Last Tale of the Flower Bride // Roshani Chokshi → Books Out of the Blue’s discord group read for May!
🌷 Looking Glass Sound // Catriona Ward → I got an ARC of this one and then my Broken Binding special edition of the UK release just arrived, so I am all set and excited to read this with a new group read chat I’ve joined on IG!

may’s bujo spreads:

This month’s theme was “no theme, just vibes” and I love this peach/teal combo. ♥

    1. Whoops I think I swallowed your current reads because I have like 8 😂 I really need to begin with a Catriona Ward because I think I’d like Ward’s books.

    1. A bit late, but I wanted to say that I love your bullet journal pages, they are so cute 🥰 I hope you’re doing well with your May goals!

Say hello! ♥
