If you like spooky, atmospheric holiday reads, keep scrolling!
Anyone who pays much attention to my horror posts knows I LOVE Kealan Patrick Burke’s writing, but what you might not have caught is that my favorite release of his is a wintry horror collection titled DEAD OF WINTER (review here) that came out in 2018 and blew me away. It’s a phenomenal, petite little collection of short stories that you can get online for a few bucks and read in a day easily, and I decided I want to reread it this month — and ask you all to consider reading it with me!
I’m aiming for a really casual read-along, so the only requirement would be reading it at some point during the month of December! I will be adding a reading schedule for anyone who is interested in reading it when I’m reading it, though, and that is…
DAY 1 — December 16th: pages 1 → 27
DAY 2 — December 17th: pages 28 → 53
DAY 3 — December 18th: pages 54 → END
That’s it! Shortest, easiest read-along ever.
If you’re interested in joining, let me know below and I can create a Twitter group DM for us to discuss it! I’ll also be using the #deadofwinterreadalong hashtag on Twitter & IG. Just be sure to drop your username below if we aren’t already mutuals so I can be sure to follow you back and get you added. ♥ I hope lots of you will join me in celebrating one of my favorite horror authors with some spooky festive goodness!

Yay, I’m so excited!! Just ordered the paperback through my local indie store. 🙂 (The fact that it’s right next to my new apartment has not been helping my wallet…)
YAY! I’m sorry I’m just now seeing this but I am SO glad you’re joining. I hope you love it! ♥
Heck yes, I am so in! Added the paperback to my shopping list for Saturday and looking forward to joining in!
Yaaaay! I’m so glad you’re joining. <3 I hope you love it as much as I did and I can't wait to discuss it with you!
