It’s time for the 2024 edition of the “reading firsts” book tag!
This is another tag I grabbed from Tammy! It was originally created by girlxoxo and I also did this tag in 2023 (here), but it’s one of those great annual tags you can do over again!
01. first book read in 2024:
My first completed book of 2024 was I Found Christmas Lights Slithering Up My Street! I finished it on January 1st and gave it 3 stars.
02. first review of 2024:
I’m not sure what the first review I wrote in 2024 was because I don’t really keep track of when I write reviews, but the first review I posted on my blog this year was for NOS4A2, so let’s go with that!
03. first debut read in 2024:
My Roommate is a Vampire! I buddy read this one with Misty back in January and we both loved it. I’m excited for the sequel!
04. first “new to me” author of 2024:
Same as my first book of the year: Ben Farthing.
05. first book of 2024 that slayed me:
This one also goes to My Roommate is a Vampire, which is kind of funny, because… get it? Slayed? Vampires? 😂
06. First Book Of 2024 That I Wish I Could Get Back The Time I Spent Reading It:
Emily Wilde’s. I’m so sorry, friends. I know SO many of you adore this book, but I truly wished I could get back the time I spent reading it and the money I spent ordering it. 😬
07. First 5 Star Book Of 2024:
My Roommate is a Vampire… again! 😂 That’s the only downside to this tag: I always repeat answers a bit, it seems.
