September Haul: some big (and little) changes!

September 27, 2019

As usual, click the titles for GR links~ ♥

For the last few months, I’ve been splitting my physical & digital hauls so I could give you more info on the books I’m hauling, but since I started doing Stacking the Shelves posts again (which offer lots of detail on everything I haul!), there’s not much need for that, so we’re bringing it back down to one short ‘n sweet post. If you’d like to view my Stacking the Shelves posts, they’re all right here!

After a quick Twitter poll a few weeks ago, many of you helped me come to a decision to mesh my old haul layouts with my current layouts! I’m bringing back my own haul photos, and switching back to line-item lists (many of you found them easier to read than the paragraph-lists I’ve been doing lately), but I’ll also be keeping the cover collages for easy referencing! And as usual, of course, click the titles to see each book’s Goodreads listing (or IMDb or Steam page, since I’ve now started showing off my film & gaming hauls, too!).

PHYSICAL PURCHASES:

PHYSICAL REVIEW COPIES:

DIGITAL REVIEW COPIES:

BORROWED:

NON-BOOKISH:

  • Video Game Purchases:
    • Final Fantasy XIII [PC] (Humble Bundle sale! I had this on the XBox 360 years ago and loved it, but didn’t get to finish it before my 360 started messing up. I don’t have any interest in getting a new 360, so I’ve been meaning to pick up a PC copy of this for a while.)
    • Final Fantasy XV [PC] (We have this on the PS4, but I seriously almost never play console games these days, and it was half off thanks to the Humble Bundle sale…)

What was your favorite thing you hauled this month — or if you didn’t haul anything, is there anything you hope to haul soon? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I’m so Jealous about Ghost Squad, I want to read it sooo bad! Also, I’m interested to hear your thoughts on the Lore book, I have listened to the podcast for years but haven’t read the book (or watched the TV show)

      1. I wish I could share it with everyone! I hope you’re able to read it before it releases <3 And I take it you like the Lore podcast to have listened for so long? I've only ever seen episode 1 of the show, but never listened to the podcast!

    1. My acquisitions are almost non existent in comparison. 3 Persephone books bought second hand; one physical ARC, two electronic ARC’s and a copy of Atwood’s The Testament given free today by a kind librarian who had a duplicate.

    1. So first off: so funny, I just read Sheets!

And I couldn’t think of why Rosemary & Rue was so familiar, but I think my sister had a mass market paperback of that years ago! But the name/cover looks so familiar…

You’ve got some creepy/spooky looking reads I might have to go look up!

    1. Well my TBR just grew exponentially! I feel like I could read just about every book shown. Lol. I love the podcast Lore and actually just put a hold on one of his books at the library! I am looking forward to reading it.

      Happy Reading!

Say hello! ♥
