September 2023 Recap & Haul Time!

October 4, 2023

It’s time for a look at my SEPTEMBER reading life!

It’s time for another wrap-up/haul post — and some fun stats!

September was a lot less busy than the summer months were, yet I somehow also read less than I have for the past several months! Go figure. 🤷‍♀️ I had a ton of 5-star reads this month and mostly read via audiobooks. I found a new all-time favorite and almost everything I read was a buddy read! All in all, I’d say it was a really good reading month! 🥰

The month at a glance:

  • books completed: 17
  • books DNFed: 3
  • average rating: 4.28
  • best book: How to Sell a Haunted House
  • worst book: Soul of a Witch

What I read:

(each title link will direct you to my review for more thoughts!)

🤷‍♀️ TBR jar → 🗓️ 2023 TBR → 🌻 seasonal TBR

And now, for some of my favorite recent hauls:

purchases:

At the start of the month, I went to Barnes & Noble and splurged on a stack of books on sale, so that’s where most of these came from! I didn’t even begin to list the freebies I got from Stuff Your Kindle day. 💀 We’d be here a long time, because I think I ended up with 30-35 freebies!

review copies:

This was a huge month for review copy hauling! I don’t remember the last time I received this many review copies in the mail in one month, plus I got a ton of exciting eARCs. Thank you to all of the publishers!

How was your month? What was your favorite book you read or hauled, or what was something nice that happened in your life?

    1. I’m usually a sissy when it comes to anything creepy even though I do this to myself every Oct lol. But the Cassidy Blake series is one of my favs!

    1. How to Sell a Haunted House was fab. I did not expect to enjoy that one as much as I did. Too bad about Black Sheep. I believe that one is on my TBR, but maybe I’ll leave it for another time. Hope your October is going well so far!

Say hello! ♥
