Spring ’24 TBR (and a look back at my winter TBR progress)

March 19, 2024

It’s time for my spring TBR!

Before diving into my next seasonal goals, I want to take a look back at my Winter TBR and see how much progress I’ve made.

(side note: I haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday post in a while, but I’ve been missing these, so I think I’ll dip my toe back in — even though I only picked six books for my TBR instead of ten!)

  1. A Feather So Black
  2. That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon
  3. Bride ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  4. Craven Manor ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
  5. Cinema VisceraDNF
  6. Clown in a Cornfield ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I made really good progress on my winter TBR — much better progress than I did on my past few seasonal lists, I think! The only one I didn’t start yet was A Feather So Black, and that’s because Misty and I are buddy reading it very soon.

As usual, I picked three unread review copies and three random picks from my TBR jar!

🌸 The Honey Witch // Sydney J. Shields → releases May 14, 2024 → This looks and sounds SO cute and I love the cover so much.

🌸 The Spellshop // Sarah Beth Durst releases July 9, 2024 → Another one that looks and sounds adorable. There’s a sentient plant?! And some kind of… winged cat?! idk I need it though 🥰

🌸 Mother: Tales of Love and Terror // Christi Nogle → overdue → Since Mother’s Day falls during spring, I wanted to pick one of my multiple “mother”-themed horror anthologies, and I remembered I had a very overdue review copy of this one. 😅

🌸 Legendary // Stephanie Garber → TBR jar pick AND it’s on my series list for the year, double win 💪

🌸 The Hideous Book of Hidden Horrors // Doug Murano → This has been staring at me from my shelf for waaay too long so I’m excited to have picked it!

🌸 Drowned Country // Emily Tesh → Definitely gonna have to re-read the first book in this duology beforehand, but that’s okay because Hoopla has the audiobook of both novellas combined and it’s only a few hours long!

What’s on your Spring TBR?

    1. You did awesome on your winter tbr. I’m also really looking forward to The Honey Witch and the Spell Shop.

    1. The Honey Witch and The Spellshop are two I’m excited for as well. Good luck with your list😁

    1. I have an arc for Spellshop but plan on reading it later. It’s so stunning and I hope we both enjoy it!

        1. Butcher & Blackbird is definitely ratcheting up my purchase list from all the praise I’m seeing for it!

    1. As you know I don’t do TBRs but once again I am getting the urge to do a Spring TBR. The last time this happened was in the fall. I always fail at these so why do I keep getting the urge to do them.

      1. Haha the FOMO always tries to get you! 😂 I don’t blame you. Hey if you do make one and don’t succeed, you’re not letting anyone down or failing anything, really!

    1. So good to see Clown in a Cornfield get four stars from you. I really want to give that one a shot. The Honey Witch and The Spell Shop look destined to be books paired together. I hope you enjoy your Spring TBR!

      1. Clown in a Cornfield was really fun! I hope you’ll like it too. Oh I was thinking the same thing about Honey Witch and Spellshop when I put this post together! 😂 I was like, wait a second-!

    1. I didn’t add The Honey Witch to my list because it was a random ARC but I think I’ll be reading it soon anyway. I also want to read The Spellshop, I’m in the mood for some cosy!

    1. The Honey Witch and The Spell Shop both have such stunning covers. I’ve heard of the former but not sure of the latter. Will have to check it out and possibly add it to my TBR 🤭 Drowned Country has been on my TBR for ages too and I can’t wait to read it. I hope you love all these books!
