about that ARC ban

3 hauls this week! Not bad. 2 of them are romance (1 YA, 1 adult) and should be pretty quick/easy reads. Looking Glass is a collection of short stories set in the Alice world, which means it’s time for me to finally pick the duology back up! I can’t wait and want to binge the whole thing. I might do it all as one big series review — thoughts?

outside the blogosphere

Another reasonably easy, laid-back week! I don’t feel like I got a lot done this week besides watching movies, but I’m not mad about it. My spouse and I have a big list of deep cleaning and organizing stuff we want to get done before Thanksgiving because that’s the day we typically decorate for Christmas — and Christmas decorations just don’t look as good in a messy house ? — so I need to find some motivation in the coming week to get to work!

what I watched

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) — 4 stars (I hadn’t watched this in sooo many years, and it was way better than I remembered.)
? Scream (1996) — 4 stars (My spouse had never seen it, so this was one of our “Halloween Eve” picks)
? House of 1000 Corpses (2003) — 3.5 stars (This is such a tough movie to rate, but there’s something weirdly fun about it… maybe it’s just because I love Bill Moseley so much.)
? Saw V (2008) — 5 stars (Continuing my series rewatch and this has always been one of my favorites.)
? The Devil’s Rejects (2005) — 4 stars (I hadn’t seen this or the 1st one in years and haven’t ever seen past this one in the series. Still love Bill Moseley. AND this one has Danny Trejo! I had forgotten he was in it!)

what I listened to

Parkway Drive (I mostly just threw their Spotify page on shuffle a lot this week, but I’ve been especially fond of the song “Crushed”)

what I played

? Stardew Valley (Another week of nonstop SDV game time.)

    1. You posted so much last week! I received an ARC of Hearts, Strings, and Other Breakable Things too and I am way excited for it – it sounds so cute!

I started watching Scream recently for the first time but didn’t make it all the way through because it was way late and I was exhausted but I enjoyed what I saw of it!

Also, I think I used to be way obsessed with Parkway Drive when I was in high school? Specifically the album Deep Blue. So that’s a major throwback! Last week I listened to the Trolls soundtrack a ton because toddlers haha
