Weekly Check-in: so many novellas!

weekly check-in

It’s time for a weekly check-in!

life update

I’m trying to get back on track with posting regularly on here, but it’s been a struggle lately! That’s why my weekly check-ins have become more of a “bi-weekly check-in”. 😅 Whoops! It’s been a good week, though. It’s been really sunny even on the cold days, so that has been helping my seasonal depression a lot. I hate hot weather but I LOVE the sunshine. 😎 My hormones are also finally leveling out from my med change, thank goodness, and I think (*knocks on wood*) that my reading slump is coming to an end! How is February treating all of you?

just finishedMisty and I have been buddy reading (re-reading mostly for me) the Wayward Children series and it’s worked wonders for my slump! I love this series so much and I’ve really enjoyed seeing Misty’s reactions to the novellas since it’s been her first time reading most of them! I’m sad that we’re almost caught up — we only have one short story and two novellas left! Since this is my first check-in in a couple of weeks and the audiobooks have been so short, as you can see, I have a lot of completed books to tell you about. Aside from all of these, I also put Christmas and Other Horrors on hold until December.

📚 current reads 📚

I’ve been breaking my 6-current-reads rule big time lately. 😩 I feel like this rule always goes out the window when I start slumping! Hopefully I’ll have fewer books on this list next week.

and everything else I’m completely obsessed with the band Mire Lore right now. If you like heavy deathcore (like Lorna Shore), check them out! I’m going to add the youtube video for one of their songs, ‘Ashen Memories’.

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I love having so many finished books in one week even if they are in the shorter side!! I’m glad the Wayward Children series helped with your reading slump.
