Weekly Check-in: lots of mood reading!

weekly check-in

It’s time for a weekly check-in!

life update

I can’t believe April is already almost halfway over! This week has been a bit stressful, though things seem to hopefully be calming down now. Isaac had his first dental procedure earlier this week (he had to have a broken baby tooth with a cavity removed, poor kid), my mom had her hysterectomy (which went fine, and they found out she also has endo like I do—no surprise there!), and we rescued an abandoned baby duckling from a park near us and are rehabbing it right now. I had a bit of a mental health spiral yesterday from the stress, but I’m feeling so much better today and just hoping the rest of the week and weekend are calmer! There’s a new round of the Unexpected Readathon starting tomorrow that I’m really excited for, too. (Feel free to join the discord if you’d like to join us, or just come chat!)

just finishedI decided to mood read a lot this week and picked up some quick reads to get me through the stress, and it really helped! That said, I think Talia was my final straw in learning not to take recommendations from the Books of Horror group on FB…

One of these days, I will finally make some progress toward lowering my number of current reads…

📚 current reads 📚

and everything else New House Flipper Farm DLC dropped today, so I know exactly what I want to spend all of my foreseeable free time doing! 😍

Heads up: you can always friend me on Letterboxd if you wanna see my movie mini reviews!

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I read Nick Roberts as Nora Roberts at first. I was like “wow, NR is really exploring herself as a writer!” 😂 I started reading Tokyo Ever After, but I haven’t gotten very far yet. My kid is also getting some major dental work done next Tuesday so I feel your pain. Hopefully the rest of your week is less stressful!

    1. I’m so excited about the House Flipper farm dlc! You’ll have to let me know how you like it (though I know you’ll love it like the majority of their dlc)! Also, I love that you picked up an orc romance read. I hope it made things fun and a little brighter during the all the things that have been happening for you. ♥

Say hello! ♥
