It’s time for a weekly check-in!
Wow, I can’t even remember the last time I posted on a weekend! 😱 This post is going up late because the past few days were a little hectic — we decided very abruptly to rearrange my entire office space AND to put up some new bookcases in my library and the living room! 😅 I put together a ton of Target furniture and my back is very angry about it, but I’m SO happy to have more space for my books and to have downsized from my massive old desk to my small, tidy new one!
I didn’t read many books this week because most of my reading time was dedicated to KoA, which was ginormous and so emotionally heavy. 😭 I knew it would break me at least a few times, and it absolutely did, but I am SO happy to have finally finished this incredible series and so glad that I got to buddy read them all with Misty! I had so much fun with our discussions! 🥰
- Coraline // Neil Gaiman ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Kingdom of Ash // Sarah J. Maas ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My main focus this week, other than KoA, was working on Swordheart, which has been SO cute and hilarious and I’m really excited to finish it!
📚 current reads 📚
- Swordheart // T. Kingfisher → 62%
- The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue // V.E. Schwab → 67%
- Black Cranes: Tales of Unquiet Women // Lee Murray & Geneve Flynn → 22%
- The Fragile Threads of Power // V.E. Schwab → 11%
- Dracula Daily // Matthew Kirkland & Bram Stoker → 4%
- The Last Tale of the Flower Bride // Roshani Chokshi → 10%
I’m not really sure what I did this week, because I didn’t read as much as usual, I didn’t game much at all, and I didn’t watch anything. 😂 Who knows where this week went, besides DIY furniture assembling?
Heads up: you can always friend me on Letterboxd if you wanna see my movie mini reviews!
What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

I had so much fun reading the Throne of Glass series with you and getting to talk through our thoughts on all of them together.
I picked up A court of Mist and Fury yesterday, I read ACOTAR, a couple of years ago, and really enjoyed it. I’ve heard such good things about ACOMAF, but why have I waited this long to purchase and read it? I was lucky enough to find the other two books at a charity shop, and I think they may have pushed me! Hoping to get to it this month-if not, next month for sure! Enjoy your books x
I love Coraline the movie and have plans to listen to the audio this year! Have you seen MirorrMask? It was a movie script from Gaiman – I loved watching it as a kid.
