Weekly Check-in: get outta here, August

weekly check-in

It’s time for a weekly check-in!

life update

Happy last day of August, everyone! I can’t believe that in just a handful of hours, we’re entering my favorite part of the year: the “ber” months! 😂🍂 My tattoo appointment is next week, autumn is just around the corner, and the weather is slooowly cooling down in the evenings (even if the days are still hot AF 🥵). I’m sure I’ve mentioned this many times before, but I’m always excited to start a new month and set some fresh goals for myself, so I’m looking forward to tomorrow!

just finishedIt’s been a good reading week despite being pretty busy! Misty and I are buddy reading through the Carissa Broadbent Nyaxia books and I’m really glad that we paused to read the novella because it was SO good and it set up some things for book 2 that we would have missed otherwise! Unfortunately, neither Malli nor I enjoyed VenCo much, but at least I had some fun, short spooky reads this week too!

📚 current reads 📚

I had big dreams of finishing a bunch of my current reads before the new month, but it never works out that way! 😅 That said, I am going to try really hard to finish at least one of these today, maybe even two!

and everything else Last week I was all “I’m gaming again!” and then I didn’t do any gaming this week. *sad trombone* I didn’t watch anything, either… I just read and listened to a surprising amount of Spiritbox, so enjoy a new song:

Heads up: you can always friend me on Letterboxd if you wanna see my movie mini reviews!

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I’m glad we decided to read the novella as well because now we will have already been introduced to those characters in the second book and we won’t be like who are these people lol.

    1. The “ber” months, I love it? I know what you mean, starting a new month is a lot of fun, so much anticipation. And cooler weather!

Say hello! ♥
