It’s time for a weekly check-in!

Happy turkey week, American friends! I seriously don’t know where this month has gone. It’s been my worst reading month in AGES and we haven’t even been that busy, so I think it’s mostly just due to how draining life with a new puppy can be. 😅 She’s so cute and sweet, but it’s an exhausting process for sure, especially with the added struggle of having a grumpy 7-year-old adjusting to her as well. 😅 Between all of that and some work stresses, I’m emotionally and mentally worn OUT, y’all. 😭 I miss my books lol!

But on a happier note, we got to go to a concert this week and it was AMAZING!!! 🥳 We went to see Ice Nine Kills (my all-time favorite band) with New Years Day, Avatar (who I’m fucking obsessed with now), and In This Moment. We actually got VIP upgrades to meet the members of INK before the show and I absolutely embarrassed myself by geeking out but it was delightful and they were all lovely ♥

(I got to side-hug Spencer fucking Charnas and he complimented my t-shirt, my life will never be the same)

It’s been two weeks since I posted a check-in and I’ve DNFed one thing, read a couple of MG graphic novels with my son, read an extreme horror novella, and finished Iron Flame. That’s it! Like I said, the worst/slowest reading month I’ve had in forever. 😅 Hopefully the rest of the month will pick up for me but I’m not holding my breath at this point. Misty and I buddy read Iron Flame and both adored it, so at least I had one big win in this update!

I’ve reached that point with Out There Screaming where I’m starting to wonder if I should just put it “on hold” for (probably), I need to restart Starling House from the beginning, I have minimal interest in continuing Murder Road, and my audio hold for Pet Sematary is about to expire. *sad trombone noises*
