WWW Wednesday: hello, February!

February 2, 2022

It’s time for another WWW Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

What I’m currently reading:

I can’t believe it’s February! I forgot to mention this last week, but I decided to increase my currently-reading limit to 4 books at a time instead of 3. I frequently have 1-2 buddy reads going at a time, and this will give me a little more leniency!

for the wolf // hannah f. whitten
the shadow of the gods // john gwynne
dead silence // s.a. barnes
✨ a psalm for the wild-built // becky chambers

What I recently finished:

I definitely fell off the reading wagon at the end of January, but I still managed to read one manga, one novella, and one novel since last week:

✨ near the bone // christina henry
I read this in one sitting, absolutely could not put it down. 10/10 ♥

✨ rosen blood, vol. 1 // kachiru ishizue
Does this have “angsty, melodramatic YA paranormal romance” written all over it? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Also yes.

ring shout // p. djeli clark
My son pulled this out of my TBR jar for my final jar pick of January, and it was INCREDIBLE. I adored the audiobook narrator!

What I’ll read next:

My primary goal is to finish one of my current reads today so I can immediately start my buddy read of Vespertine with Rosie! I was supposed to start it yesterday, but yesterday ended up having a LOT less time for reading than I expected.

vespertine // margaret rogerson

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Let me know in the comments!
