WWW #3: December 12, 2018

December 12, 2018

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Taking On a World of Words. It’s a meme that takes place every Wednesday, where the posters discuss 3 Ws:

  1. What are you currently reading?
  2. What did you recently finish reading?
  3. What do you think you’ll read next?

My goal for this week was, again, to get down to 5 current reads. I have no idea how, but I managed to not only accomplish that, but to SURPASS it by getting down to 4!

  1. Snow in Love — 55%
  2. Kin — 18%
  3. Song of the Dead — 24%
  4. NOS4A2 — 10%

My goal is to finish Snow in Love today, and the other 3 books by this time next week.

Over the past week, I finished

  1. Witching Hour Theatre ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (review)
  2. The Faithful ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  3. Dear Heartbreak ⭐⭐
  4. Pennies ⭐⭐⭐⭐
  5. Snow and Mistletoe ⭐
  6. Hark! The Herald Angels Scream ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Now, you might be thinking, “But wait, Destiny—where’s the rest of the list you were reading last week?”
Sadly, I realized I just simply did not have time to finish all of the things I wanted to get done before Shortathon unless I set a few books aside for January, so I temporarily DNFed:

  1. Kingdom of Ash
  2. The Shadow of What Was Lost
  3. The Truth About Forever (reread)

Short-a-thon is barely over a week away, and my goal is to have NO current reads going into the readathon, so these are the titles I’m planning on knocking out ASAP (besides the ones I’m already reading):

  1. In An Absent Dream
  2. The Girl King
  3. Unwind

Have you read any of the titles I mentioned in this post, or are any on your TBR? Let me know in the comments!

Wow! You had a great reading week! I really want to read Snow in Love, too. I hope it ends up being good.

Thank you! Snow in Love has been hit and miss for me so far. I’ve read the first 2 stories, and gave the first story 5 stars and ADORED it, but I only gave the second story like… 1.5 stars? It was BAD. 🙁 So I’m hoping the 3rd and 4th stories are good!

I just recently learned that NOS4R2 is a Christmas story so I’ll definitely be reading it next year! Are you enjoying it so far?
I’m glad you enjoyed Hark! The Herald Angels Scream, I think I’ll probably read it next Christmas too!

Yaaaay! I am enjoying it so far, it’s weird and great in typical Joe Hill fashion haha! And Hark was really really good, I definitely recommend it, too! ♥

Oh wow look how far you’ve come from 14 current tbr to only 4 books ? A lot of people seem to be reading Snow in Love, I’m curious now!

I knoooow, can you believe?! Haha! Snow in Love has been 50/50 for me so far – I adored the first story and hated the second one!

So exited to see your thoughts on Unwind when you get to it! And, I’ve had so many Sarah Dessen books, collecting dust on my shelves. I seriously need to read a few of them soon! ❤️

Her writing is SO near and dear to my heart. Sarah Dessen was my intro to YA contemporary and her books hold up so well even now! I hope you get the chance to read them soon (and that you love them, too)! ♥

I AM SO PROUD OF YOUUUU.
[Okay, you kicked three books off your current reads but STILL.]
I just KNOW you can clear your current reads before the Short-a-thon starts! 😀

Bahahah thank you! I also removed a book from my list of things I wanted to start before Short-a-thon (it was an ARC that doesn’t come out until June, so it’s not urgent right now, I’m just SUPER ready to read it lmao), so that helps, too. Fingers crossed 😀

Yeaaah, reading an ARC that isn’t due until June while you’re behind on ARC’s probably isn’t the smartest move anyway, haha!

[…] one is easy – Destiny! Me and Destiny have a lot of cross-over in terms of the books we both enjoy but I know that […]
