Santa's Little Helper Tag

December 24, 2018

Merry Christmas Eve, to anyone celebrating it! In honor of the holiday, it felt fitting to do a Christmas-y tag, so it was perfect that Lorryn tagged me in this new tag made by our friend Bee! If you’re not following either of them already, you should fix that, because they are both lovely human beings! ♥

THE RULES:

  1. answer the prompts
  2. tag 3 people
  3. leave a link to your favorite blog post YOU have written this year!

D A S H E R
a novel you sped through:

36577586

The Kiss Quotient! This was supposed to be a buddy read spread out over 3 days, and instead I just read the entire thing in one sitting. Oops.

match a song to one of your favorite books:

26073150

The first time I heard ‘I Dare You’ by The xx, I immediately thought of Rhysand and Feyre—most specifically, the time frame during the middle-ish part of ACOMAF, when Feyre is healing and figuring out her emotions. The lyrics feel like Rhysand talking:
“Go on, I dare you.”

post a picture of a book with a flashy cover:

The Gilded Wolves. Ugh, all that gold filigree? Yes, please. Plus, it was SO GOOD.

V I X E N
your favorite “femme fatale” from a novel:

Could I, in any reality, NOT choose Mia Corvere for this question? *swoon*

C O M E T
a book that’s on your wishlist:

I have a whole Amazon Wishlist full of books (if anyone wants to send a Christmas present ??), but I wanted to mention some very special editions I am dying to get my hands on: the french Shades of Magic editions, and the Polish Captive Prince editions (of which only the first 2 have been revealed so far). Aren’t they beautiful?!

C U P I D
a book that you adore (and tell us why!):

40233866

I’m gonna take a moment to plug A Girl Like Her for the billionth time, because this book is just so, so good. It’s got a fat, black, autistic heroine (I think that all of the rep is own-voice, if I remember correctly), the hero is inspired by Chris freaking Evans, the banter is HILARIOUS and witty and geeky as hell, the chemistry and romance are so sweet and well-crafted, and the sex scenes are steamy and fun without ever being “cringe-y” like some sexy books can be. It’s also only ONE DOLLAR on the Kindle store right now, which is such a steal. I can’t say enough good things about this one.

D O N N E R
your favorite premiere novel in a series:

25526296

Every Heart a Doorway, first in the Wayward Children series, is one of the best series starters I’ve ever read. It does such a good job of introducing you to the cast and setting the stage, and is such a wonderful and diverse read, plus the whole series is phenomenal. I just reviewed book 4 if you want to see my thoughts—it has no spoilers for the first three books in the series!

B L I T Z E N
name an author who’s smokin’ hot:

I can’t even front because I think everyone who follows me on twitter has figured out my biggest author crushes by this point, thanks to my endless fangirling. ?

T A G S

Since it’s Christmas Eve, I know a lot of people won’t have time to do this one for the holiday, but just in case, I’ll tag a few of my fellow tag-loving friends Heather, Avery, and Ellyn, plus anyone else who wants to be tagged—consider it done!

    1. Thank you so much for the tag, Destiny! Have you read The Gilded Wolves yet? I think I saw your review at some point but have completely forgotten your stance on it, I’ve heard good things about it so far and just added it to my tbr!

        1. I’m so glad, I just put it on hold at the library because I’ve heard such great things about it!

Say hello! ♥
