Weekly Check-in: goodbye, November!

weekly check-in

It’s time for a weekly check-in!

life update

Goodbye, November! I can’t believe the last month of the year starts tomorrow. I’m totally not prepared! 😂 I was on track to be good and ready for the new year to start, and then I got hit with a reading slump AND the flu… so I can’t even be mad at myself. Either way, I’m totally off track now and trying to get back into the swing of things before the end of the year, so wish me luck! Are any of you struggling to stay on track right now, too? I feel like there’s always something around the holidays that distracts me in a big way 😂

just finishedI DNFed Baby Fights because I should have known better. 😂 The other three books I finished in the past week were very good, though! I especially loved buddy reading QON with Misty. ♥ Those letters from Cardan!! 🥺

📚 current reads 📚

I finally caved and put Out There Screaming, Starling House, and Murder Road all on hold because I just wasn’t in the mood for any of them atm. Misty and I are finishing our re-read of ACOMAF today, and I’d love to also finish Nettle & Bone and maybe even Pet Sematary tonight!

and everything else I finally introduced Isaac to Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) and he loved it. It was even better than I remembered it being and it made me wonder why people don’t still talk about it more and how I’ve gone this many years without a re-watch! Isaac’s 7 and he hasn’t gotten into movies until this year, so I’m very excited to show him a few more of my holiday faves over the next few weeks. 😄

What are you reading right now, or what did you recently finish? Is anything exciting happening in your life? Let me know in the comments!

    1. I love Jim Carrey’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! I need to give it a rewatch this year. I’m currently reading Shut Up and Write The Book by Jenna Moreci as i’m working on a novel. 🙂

Say hello! ♥
