It’s time for my Autumn TBR!
Before diving into my summer goals, I want to take a look back at my Summer TBR and see how much progress I’ve made.
- ✅ Beanstalker and Other Hilarious Scarytales ❌DNF❌
- ✅ Hammers On Bone ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- ✅ What Moves the Dead ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- ✅ Black Tide ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- ⌛ Frightmares
- ✅ #thighgap ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- ⌛ House of Earth and Blood
- ✅ Strangers ⭐
- ✅ The Haunting of Leigh Harker ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- ✅ Kill River ⭐
I think this is the most successful seasonal TBR I’ve EVER done, and I’m proud of myself! 🤩 I completed 8, and I’m currently reading the remaining 2 (and I think I’ll finish both of them soon!).
I decided to focus this seasonal TBR primarily on some of my reading challenges!
🍂 The Devil Makes Three // Tori Bovalino → gift → Ashley was SO sweet and sent me a copy of a book she loves very much, and she said it’s spooky, so I decided I want to read it right away! 🥰
🍂 A Heart in a Body in the World // Deb Caletti → TBR jar → I’ve been meaning to read this FOREVER and was really excited when I pulled it from the jar!
🍂 The Ghosts That Haunt Me: Memories of a Homicide Detective // Steve Ryan → TBR jar + review copy → Gotta love pulling a TBR jar title that also happens to be an ARC releasing soon AND it fits the true crime reading I’ve been obsessed with lately.
🍂 The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires // Grady Hendrix → TBR jar + 2022 TBR → Also gotta love a TBR jar title that’s also on my 2022 TBR! 😂
🍂 Mysteries of Thorn Manor // Margaret Rogerson → review copy → I miss these soft book babies. 🥰
🍂 Lost in the Moment and Found // Seanan McGuire → review copy → One of my favorite series of all time!
🍂 Pestilence // Laura Thalassa → 12 in 12 TBR → Malli recommended this one for my “12 in 12” TBR list, which I’m trying to catch up on, and I’m excited to start this series after having it on my TBR for sooo long!
🍂 Ghost Squad // Claribel A. Ortega → 2022 TBR → I’m also trying to finally start playing serious catch-up with my 2022 TBR!
🍂 Riot Baby // Tochi Onyebuchi → 2022 TBR → I think this might be one of the first ones from this list that I’ll start, it’s a quick read and looks so interesting!
🍂 The Love Hypothesis // Ali Hazelwood → 2022 TBR → Yep… it’s finally happening! 🤭
What’s on your Autumn TBR? If you’ve made a post or video about it, please feel free to drop a link below – I’d love to see it! ♥

Great job on your summer TBR. I too evaluated my progress from summer, though I didn’t do as well as you.
Thank you, Anne! Hey, any progress is good, right? 😊
Oh you did awesome on your summer tbr. I can’t wait to hear what you think of the Love Hypothesis.

That’s awesome, I really can’t wait! It looks like such a fun series. 😀 thank you!
Great list of interesting books to read this Fall. You also made good progress on your Summer TBR, I hope you’re enjoying Crescent City. And for having read them, I recommend The Love Hypothesis, Pestilence and The Devil Make Three (like the last one less).

thank you, I hope I do too! 🙂 And I hope you also enjoy Pestilence if you end up reading it soon!
Excellent summer progress! I don’t really keep a note of progress as I sign up for Blog Tours so they then take up most of my reading time.
The Love Hypothesis is an excellent book (in my opinion!)
Have a great week!

WOW, Destiny!!! You did so great with your summer TBR! I’m jealous! I cannot wait to see what you think of Southern Book Club because it is phenomenal. Spooky, terrifying, and so, so good. Thank you! Ghost Squad looks so cute 🙂
Woo, Love Hypothesis! I hope you enjoy it, Destiny! 😍 I’m so looking forward to Rogerson’s book cos I miss these book lovers too but I’m also really curious about A Heart in a Body in the World. It sounds intense though but I’ve heard so many good things. Can’t wait to see what you think of it! Happy reading 💜
Thank you, Dini! I’m so excited for all of these. I suspect that A Heart in a Body in the World is going to wreck me a little bit, but I’m looking forward to it – you know how it is. 😂
Oh wow! You did really well on your Summer challenge! I’m sure fall will be just as good for you and you some great choices. The love Hypothesis is lurking on my TBR as well….

You’ve prompted me to look back at my own summer TBR and I was quite pleased to find I’ve read 7 of the 10 I put on my list.
Way to go, that’s awesome! ♥
You’ve got some good choices there! Riot Baby is on my list, as is pretty much anything by Seanan McGuire. Happy reading!
Come see my Top Ten!
Thank you! I haven’t read anything by Tochi Onyebuchi yet, but I’ve heard such good things. Same on Seanan – she could publish her grocery lists and I bet I’d give them 5 stars! 😂
What Moves the Dead is on my wish list – glad to see you really loved it. I’m also really curious about The Southern Book Club.

The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires was very different, but I enjoyed it.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Grady Hendrix so far, so my hopes are very high. 🙂
I’ve had The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires on my shelves for a while, hopefully I can get to it soon 🙂
I hope you can, too, and that we both like it! 😀
Damn, I own Kill River. Let me see if I can find a review and see what happened there.
I hope you enjoy it more than I did! <3 For what it's worth, almost all of my Goodreads friends have given it 4-5 stars, so I definitely seem to be the odd one out lol!
Ahh, this is the first I’ve heard the title for LOST IN THE MOMENT AND FOUND! I’m sure you’ll love it ♥
Isn’t it beautiful?! 🥺 Those books are always so stunning, inside and out!
Good luck with your TBR and congrats on doing so well with your summer TBR 🥰 I’m SO excited for Mysteries of Thorn Manor, it’s a dream come true 💕
